Mad Cow Racing is owned by Tim and Kelly Streisel of Imperial, MO. Tim is a Controls Engineer for Alvey Systems Inc. in St. Louis. Kelly works for Arrow Finance, of St. Louis. They been married for 13 years and have two sons. Jon is 13 and plays first base for the Devils baseball with the Arnold Athletic Association. Chris is 8 who plays for the Rockets. Rounding out the Streisel family is CoCo the wonder-poodle, whose only purpose for existing is apparently to convert dog food to dog-doo.
Tim first got interested in racing when a friend of his, David Jenkins, bought his first racecar. Dave asked Tim if he would like to be his pit crew, and Tim said something stupid like "Sure!" ("Oh! You wanted to have a LIFE? We thought you wanted to work on a race car!") Tim crewed with Dave for 6 years before going out on his own. Dave and Tim remain close friends. They have not had the chance to actually race side-by-side yet. They are hoping that 2001 will let that happen.
Tim's right hand man, crew chief, and bail supplier is John Michael. Known as "Shotgun John" (more about that later), he has know Tim for 15 truly scary years. They met when John was a volunteer fireman who was called out to put out a brush fire that Tim started with some illegal fireworks.
John lives in Old Monroe, Missouri, with his wife Sherri, and their two daughters Becca and Meaghan. They also have a Bouvier De Flaneders (French for 'Big Freaking Dog') who likes to scare the bejeezus out of unsuspecting people, 2 cats and an ever-changing assortment of auxiliary pets.
The newest member of the crew is Scott "Scooter" Millekin. Scooter is 14 and is a neighbor to Tim. He is looking forward to his first year as crewmember.
